When the generator circuit of a power plant experiences single-phase grounding and the current exceeds the specified value, it is possible to generate arc grounding overvoltage, and the generator's voltage resistance level is weak, making the insulation easily damaged. If the grounding current is too high, it can also cause burns to the generator core. High resistance grounding is usually used at the neutral point of the generator to limit arc grounding overvoltage, reduce burns to the iron core, and improve the sensitivity of relay protection, which acts on tripping and ensures the safety of the generator.

1. Carefully designed and well protected


The ZW-FZG type generator neutral point resistance cabinet is connected to the generator neutral point. When the power grid or generator stator is single-phase grounded, an additional resistive current is provided to the grounding point, causing the grounding point current to change from capacitive to resistive, thereby ensuring that the generated overvoltage does not exceed 2.6 times the phase voltage.


2. Professional protection to avoid burning the generator core


When designing the neutral point resistance cabinet of ZW-FZG generator, efforts are made to control the total grounding current within 15A, which not only meets the sensitivity requirements of relay protection, but also reduces the damage to the iron core when the generator stator winding is grounded.


Compact structure with excellent component performance


The ZW-FZG type generator neutral point resistance cabinet combines scattered single-phase transformers, resistors, current transformers, measuring instruments, grounding protection output terminals, and other electrical equipment into a closed metal cabinet. It can also be equipped with isolation switches, lightning arresters, and a complete set of supply, with high safety and reliability, clear and neat layout, and easy installation, debugging, and operation and maintenance. The single-phase transformer used is an epoxy resin cast dry type or DuPont paper insulated transformer, which has stable working performance and strong impact resistance. The secondary side of the transformer is made of stainless steel metal resistance material.


4. Complete monitoring functions and provide analog output


The ZW-FZG type generator neutral point resistance cabinet has added a special lightning arrester for protecting the insulation of the generator neutral point compared to the general configuration. It can be equipped with current transformers and action recorders, which can monitor the unbalanced current of the neutral point under normal conditions. In the event of a single-phase grounding fault, the number of actions can be recorded. And it can provide analog output for protection and monitoring systems.

The neutral point resistance cabinet of ZW-FZG type generator is made of stainless steel or cold-rolled steel plate sprayed with plastic, and the upper part is led out for wiring through wall sleeves or cable entry from the bottom of the cabinet to meet different installation requirements.
